Enjoy perfectly cooked lobster

Michelin starred Tyddyn Llan ‘Restaurant with Rooms’ near Corwen in north Wales will be staging its annual Lobster & Grouse Dinner on Friday 3 October 2014.

Each of the four courses – created by co-owner and head chef Bryan Webb (follow Bryan @bryanwwebb) - will be accompanied by wines chosen by expert Bruce Kendrick of London-based Liberty Wines.

The dinner costs £75 pp or £135 pp (two sharing) including overnight accommodation with a wide choice of cooked breakfast options.

The full menu will comprise:

Salad of roasted baby beetroots with fresh ricotta (accompanied by Pinot Gris 2012, Greywacke, Marlborough, New Zealand)

Grilled half lobster with coriander, lime and ginger butter (accompanied by Wild Sauvignon 2012, Greywacke, Marlborough, New Zealand)

Roast grouse with bread sauce (accompanied by 2010 `The Tithing` McLaren Vale Grenache, Willunga 100, South Australia)

Damson soup with poached blackberries and cinnamon ice cream (with late Harvest Riesling 2011, Greywacke, Marlborough, New Zealand).

Tyddyn Llan is located just outside the village of Llandrillo, in the shadow of the Berwyn Mountains.

The area is a haven for walkers and maps/guides are available free of charge from the hotel’s reception.
