Aspiring first-time buyers who thought they were stuck living at home with their parents are being offered the chance to step on the property ladder in style at Taylor Wimpey’s Penns Croft development in Nuneaton.

There’s a superb selection of starter homes available at this sought-after development, including two-bedroom terraced houses priced from just £131,950 and three-bedroom end-terrace designs from £154,950.

What’s more, the Help to Buy scheme is available at Penns Croft, enabling eligible first-time buyers, as well as those with a property to sell, to secure a Government loan of up to 20% of their new home’s full price – so they only need a 75% loan-to-value mortgage and a deposit as low as 5%.

Carl Cooke, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “It can be frustrating for young people who long to buy a home of their own and escape their parents but are struggling to save the money.

“However, they – and their parents – will no doubt be pleased to discover the Help to Buy scheme can make this much more affordable than they might have thought.

“We have a stunning choice of starter homes available at Penns Croft, so I’d urge anyone who might be interested in finding out more to come and visit us at the development as soon as possible.”

The two-bedroom ‘Ashby’ terraced house, for example, is priced from £131,950 and features a living/dining room opening through French doors to the private garden, plus a kitchen and a guest cloakroom off the entrance hallway. Upstairs, the landing leads to two double bedrooms and a main bathroom.

Alternatively, the three-bedroom ‘Barwell’, priced from £154,950, comprises a living/dining room, a kitchen, a cloakroom, three bedrooms and a bathroom. Both properties benefit from allocated parking outside.

Meanwhile, two-bedroom ‘Jackson’ apartments are priced from just £102,950 at Penns Croft.

All new homes at the development are completed to a high standard specification, including central heating, double glazing and fitted kitchen with integrated oven, hob and hood.

Help to Buy is currently available on all new-build properties up to the value of £600,000 and there’s no salary cap for purchasers using the scheme.

Penns Croft enjoys a convenient location on the south-western fringes of Nuneaton, within walking distance of the fantastic leisure facilities of Bermuda Park, including a multi-screen cinema, bowling alley, gym and a choice of restaurants.

Nuneaton itself benefits from superb local shopping facilities including a choice of supermarkets and the bustling twice-weekly market, as well as a selection of independent and high street shops.

There’s a wide range of leisure and sporting facilities in the town, while the beautiful Warwickshire countryside is right on the doorstep to enjoy – and families will appreciate that schools for all ages are located just a short distance away.

With Coventry 10 miles away and Leicester and Birmingham each only around 20 miles from home, Nuneaton enjoys a well-connected location boasting quick links to the M6 and M69. Nuneaton railway station offers services to Birmingham New Street in just half an hour, while there are also regular direct services to London Euston.
