Two stylish show homes will open their doors at Lovell’s popular Faraday Green venture in Miles Platting on Saturday, October 4.

Professionally styled and decorated by a team of interior designers, the two and three-bedroom properties will showcase all that the development has to offer to families and professionals looking for a fresh start within easy reach of Manchester city centre.

Faraday Green is part of a large project by Lovell to bring over 1,000 homes to east Manchester and create the thriving new community of Platting Village.

Clare Noakes, regional sales manager for Lovell in the North West, said: “We’re excited to be opening two new show homes so buyers can see exactly what’s on offer at Faraday Green. Off plan sales have been going really well but soon buyers will have something tangible to view so they can appreciate all of those extra details that make these homes special, such as our well-specified kitchens, with branded appliances included, our streamlined elegant bathrooms and the spacious bedrooms and living spaces.

“Our interior designers have created an inspirational scheme that gives buyers lots of ideas about how they could use the space and helps them to imagine making themselves at home here.”

In the three-bedroom ‘Daley’, the interior has been inspired by the deigns of Paul Smith, with lots of clean lines and an on-trend navy colour scheme. The look is very contemporary with art deco shapes, chrome and glass furniture and eye-catching modern artwork featuring Manchester’s urban landscape. There’s a quirky themed boy’s room with bunk beds and retro accessories.

Next door in the two-bedroom ‘Pendleton’, the colour scheme is more feminine, with neutral tones of grey and taupe brought to life with accents of purple. Some of the styling harks back to classic era. The lounge is glamorous with pendant lighting and sumptuous grey sofas around an upholstered coffee table while sepia photographs of old Manchester adorn the walls. The bedroom features a striking plaid headboard and thistle print cushions and framed pictures.

The homes at Faraday Green are being built to Level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes meaning they are more economical and therefore cheaper to run.

Priced start from £116,500 for a two-bedroom home and four-bedroom homes are from £161,500. Help to Buy is available for those with just a 5% deposit.

Platting Village will feature a number of green open spaces, including a new park alongside the Rochdale Canal named The Green. Situated within an established residential area, residents will be within easy reach of a host of local amenities including the £7.4m Park View School, Miles Platting and Ancoats Sure Start Children’s Centre, Victoria Mill and the sports facilities at Eastlands.
