Properties are now on sale in Royton, with Morris Homes’ new development, The Green, now open.

Upon completion there will be 32 one to four-bedroom properties at the site on Bleasdale Street. The first properties on sale are a mix of three and four-bedroom homes, priced from £187,750 or £150,200 with the Government’s Help to Buy Scheme. The initiative means that only 5% of the value of the home is needed as a deposit to get onto or move up the property ladder in Royton.

Located at the foothills of the South Pennines, The Green has already seen a high level of demand from buyers looking to purchase a new home in the historic town, with two properties sold in the first weekend of the site opening. The development offers buyers a superb location just a short distance from the town centre, with views overlooking Royton Park and great commuter links into Manchester.

Chris Minshall, regional sales director at Morris, said: “The Green offers buyers in Royton the opportunity to live in a quality new home in a stunning location, so it’s not surprising that two properties have already been sold.

“The range of properties at the development are ideal for both first time buyers and growing families, and are available with the Government’s Help to Buy scheme, which is great for buyers who are struggling to raise a typical deposit.

“One in three Morris homes are now purchased using the scheme, so we would urge local buyers to speak to our experienced sales team to find out how it could help them reserve their dream home now.”

For more information on the homes and schemes available at The Green, visit the sales office on Bleasdale Street, Royton, Oldham, OL2 6RL, (open Thursday to Monday 10:30am – 5:30pm), or visit morrishomes.co.uk.
