Lancaster London is buzzing with excitement, as the date for the London Honey Show has just been announced as Monday, 6 October 2014, from 6-9pm.

The hotel will be organising and hosting this annual event for the fourth consecutive year, with a small £1 entry fee, which will be donated to a bee charity. See updates on londonbees.com.

The London Honey Show is a celebration of bees and beekeeping, with friendly competition between new and experienced beekeepers alike.

Those attending the show will be able to visit stalls and exhibits, the hive display, a children’s craft area, enjoy talks from bee experts, and sample some of the delicious honey they produce. There will also be food and drinks for sale.

The event promises to be bigger and better than the last and will be held in the hotel’s Westbourne Suite, which has a capacity for 1,500 people.

The highlight of the show will be the awards ceremony; and the both the nominations site and honey competition will open on the 1 August 2014.

The most anticipated award of the evening is the coveted “London Beekeeper of the Year 2014”. Last year it was won by James Hamill of the Hive Honey Shop in Clapham.

Lancaster London has ten bee hives on its second floor roof, which provide honey for the hotel’s restaurant Island Grill.
