The October half term holidays would not be the same without a visit to Wookey Hole Caves – ‘the home of Halloween.’

Spooky themed fun lurks round every corner and families can enjoy a special tour of the world famous caves which house the witch of Wookey Hole, who was rumoured to have been turned to stone centuries ago.

With a brand new 8D Dracula ride, as well as access to the haunted Witch’s Laboratory, children and parents alike are bound to have a thrilling time when they visit between 25th October and 2nd November.

And the fun doesn’t stop there, a special Witch’s Grotto will be open offering children the chance to meet the Witch’s minion and take away a Halloween treat, while the witch herself will be casting spells and performing her magic in the Halloween Magic Circus show, daily in the 400-seater theatre.

As always over 20 other attractions are included in the ticket price including the Magical Mirror Maze, Haunted Fairy Garden, Wizard’s Magical Play Barns and Valley of the Dinosaurs.

Daniel Medley, of Wookey Hole Caves, said: "Wookey Hole Caves is the only place to be at Halloween, we were made for this holiday and we guarantee visitors will have a spooktacular time with us!

“A highlight will definitely be the new Dracula ride in our brand new state-of-the-art 8D cinema, which was installed earlier this year. Visitors will be spooked and thrilled as all of their senses are grabbed in this exhilarating adventure.

“We’re also planning to use the cinema to show classic Halloween films every night and we’re hosting a Halloween party on 31st October open to adults and children, which will feature live entertainment and a two-course hog roast. Tickets for this event are running out fast though, so be sure to book soon.

“Another highlight will be our Circus of Horrors: The Night of the Zombie show which will show at 6pm and 9pm on 24th and 25th October.

“There is so much to get involved in this Halloween and we can’t wait to show people a good time.”

For brave families who wish to make a Halloween holiday of it there is the option to book a stay at the spooky Wookey Hole Hotel with family breaks starting from just £129 for two adults and two children, including bed, breakfast and tickets.
