Big six supplier tops energy best buy table for first time this year

E.ON Energy has launched the cheapest energy deal on the market – the first time a big six supplier has topped the best buy tables this year, according to uSwitch.com.

Tom Lyon, energy expert at uSwitch.com, says: “E.ON Energy’s aggressive pricing follows a string of competitive tariff launches over the past few weeks and is the latest proof that competition between suppliers is hotting up as temperatures cool down.

“Small suppliers have dominated the top of the table so far this year, but we’re now seeing bigger suppliers, including E.ON Energy, British Gas (through Sainsbury’s Energy) npower and SSE, retaliating with more competitive deals.
