RAC unveil season long ‘RAC to the Rescue’ campaign for BTCC fans RAC, sponsors of Team RAC who compete in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship, has launched a season long ‘RAC to the rescue’ campaign, which will provide benefits to enhance the race day experience of fans at all 10 rounds of the season.

To tie in with RAC’s latest advertising campaign, which features Vinnie Jones and Lennox Lewis, ‘RAC to the rescue’ will offer fans the chance to win various prizes and experiences to add to their enjoyment of the biggest motorsport championship in the country.

The campaign launches at Brands Hatch with RAC ‘Orange Tickets’ being placed in random official race day programmes, granting the winners free entry to every round of the 2007 BTCC season.

The ‘RAC to the rescue’ campaign will then move to each round of the season covering Rockingham, Thruxton, Croft, Oulton Park, Donington, Snetterton and Knockhill circuits.

Colin Turkington, Team RAC driver, said: “It’s a fantastic gesture from RAC and I’m sure the fans will have great fun taking advantage of ‘RAC to the rescue’. Supporters make many sacrifices to follow the championship so it’s superb that RAC can help and assist them.”

Alastair Pegg, RAC Director of Marketing, said: “The fans are the lifeblood of the British Touring Car Championship and RAC want to provide consistent opportunities to thank them for their support and also assist their race weekend experience. RAC are committed to investing in and supporting the cream of young British motor racing drivers and we feel it is important for fans to be able to share this experience.

“RAC are keen to reward fans and we have many exciting initiatives planned for the ten rounds in 2007 so supporters should log onto teamrac.co.uk, look out in the media and at the rounds themselves during the season for details of our activity and how they can take part. It seemed fitting at the first round to offer fans the chance to win free tickets guaranteeing their seat at every round of the season.”
