Scottish skiing!
There has already been some snowfall on the highest Scottish peaks so is this winter set to be a bumper one for skiing at home? Loch Tay Highland Lodges is just 40 miles south of Scotland’s largest ski area at Glenshee. Set within 2,000 acres of mountains and forest, this ski centre comprises an impressive 36 runs across 40km of pistes. Loch Tay Highland Lodges provides the ideal base for winter sports enthusiasts as there are plenty of other outdoor activities on offer including hiking, cycling and fishing. Winter accommodation ranges from wigwams and domes to a high-tech woodland cabin, with prices starting from as little as £40 per night for a basic wigwam. Plough through the Sierra Nevada

This peaceful village is located on the verge of a national park and offers spectacular views towards the Sierra Nevada mountain ranges. The Sierra Nevada ski resort is Europe’s most southerly resort offering 79 pistes with the majority most suited to beginner or intermediate skiers and boarders.

Camping El Berguedà is situated between the culture, fashion and fun of Barcelona and the fantastic ski resorts of the Spanish Pyrenees. Port Del Comte is one of the nearest main ski resorts offering access to 31 pistes with all levels of ability catered for. Fresh snow is forecast soon meaning the resort could be up and running before December! Accommodation at Camping El Berguedà is offered as either touring pitches or in more luxurious log cabins.
