Gaskells waste no time ordering another Volvo Merseyside-based Gaskells Waste Services have ordered another Volvo FM-400 8x4 rigid truck after recently taking delivery of their first Volvo from Thomas Hardie Commercials. The new vehicle will be ready for delivery later this year.

Currently running a mixed fleet of nine vehicles, the waste collection and recycling company plans to further increase their fleet with more Volvo’s. “We have experienced rapid growth over a relatively short period of time,” explains Managing Director, Jonathan Gaskell, “Now, as the only trade waste treatment facility in Liverpool, we are planning further expansion and want to double our fleet size in the next 18 months.”

Gaskell’s new Volvo fleet is expected to be specified with a similar specification to their latest FM arrival - a 400 bhp, 8x4 hook lift with a Day cab in ‘Comfort’ trim, plated for 32 GCW.

When Jonathan was asked why Volvo trucks have been selected to increase Gaskells Waste’s fleet, he answered, “Volvo are renowned for being a reliable truck,” adding that, “They cope extremely well with the pressures placed on them within our industry.”

Gaskells fleet can be seen throughout the Liverpool Area as they serve department stores, public sector buildings and large tourist attractions with their environmental services.
