Maxi Haulage takes delivery of new Volvo FE’s

Maxi Haulage takes delivery of new Volvo FE’s Privately-owned distribution company Maxi Haulage Limited is operating three new Volvo FE 18 tonne GVW 4x2 rigids on high-mileage, shared-user contracts out of their Warwick RDC.

The FE’s will be covering around 140,000 kms per year transporting specialised automotive lubricants and also industrial and domestic flooring rolls on behalf of several blue-chip national companies.

Maxi’s fleet is predominantly Volvo and the Irvine headquartered company has been associated with the marque for over 30 years. The FE’s are replacement vehicles and join over 100 other Volvo’s in the Maxi fleet.

Maxi Director Robin Allan says that the FE’s were supplied via the Coventry depot of Volvo Truck and Bus East Anglia and ‘reliability and Dealer back-up’ were the main reasons for continuing to choose Volvo.

“The FE’s suit our customer’s distribution profile,” says Robin. “The majority of loads are palletised and the FE’s are delivering to both high street retailers and RDCs.”

The Boalloy bodied FE’s are being used on long-distance work across much of the South of England and Wales and are equipped with tail-lifts, sleeper cabs and rear air-suspension.
