Nynas remain all Volvo

Since 2000, the company, which provide speciality products such as naphthenic specialty oils, polymer emulsion and bitumen to quarries and road surfacing companies across the UK, have only ever purchased Volvo, all of which have been supplied by local Volvo dealership, Thomas Hardie Commercials in Deeside.
Distribution Manager, Ernie Dixon, at Nynas commented that, “One of the main reasons why we continue to purchase Volvo trucks is because of their exceptional reliability and build quality.” He added that, “Another reason, is the relationship that we have with Thomas Hardie Commercials.”
Similar to the rest of the Nynas fleet, the company’s latest FM is a 440hp, 13-litre 6x2, tractor unit plated for 44 tonnes GCW, specified with a Globetrotter cab in ‘Comfort’ trim.
In addition, to keep the vehicles weight to a minimum, the unit was also fitted with a lightweight Esteppe mid-lift axle, enabling the vehicles to run at the 44 tonne limit with an increased payload.
The latest vehicle on the fleet will be serviced and maintained in house at Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. It can be seen operating nationwide across the UK’s quarries as it delivers bitumen, which will be used in the construction industry.
