The research, commissioned by PizzaExpress was launched to celebrate the return of its signature Snowball Dough balls. The traditional Dough Balls are sprinkled with cinnamon and icing sugar and served with a vanilla cream dip.

It's the younger married couples who are most likely to ice out their in-laws this Xmas, with two-fifths (43%) of 18-34 year old's voting to snowball them compared with just a fifth (23%) of couples aged 45 and over. Escaping a family cold front this festive season are grandparents, receiving just one percent of the vote.
Some celebrities have the ice factor rather than the X-Factor, with one in five (18%) and over one in 10 (12%) of Brits voting to snowball Simon Cowell and Cheryl Fernandez Versini this year.
