The nation's In-laws, David Cameron and Cheryl Fernandez Versini had better beware, as the nation has voted them top of their snowball hit list. Research released from PizzaExpress, reveals over half (55%) of the nation would relish the opportunity to pelt one of these three with a snowball this Christmas.

The research, commissioned by PizzaExpress was launched to celebrate the return of its signature Snowball Dough balls. The traditional Dough Balls are sprinkled with cinnamon and icing sugar and served with a vanilla cream dip.

It's no surprise to see politicians make the list, but over a quarter (26%) of Brits and of that nearly a third (33%) of Scots chose David Cameron as their number one political target, because nearly half (45%) of Brits think they could do a better job . The nation has also taken an icy turn against Nigel Farage with nearly a fifth (19%) of Brits voting to soak him with a snowball over the leader of the opposition, David Miliband who received just 10% of the vote.

In-laws will experience a frosty reception this Christmas, after receiving nearly a fifth (17%) of the vote. It's the younger married couples who are most likely to ice out their in-laws this Xmas, with two-fifths (43%) of 18-34 year old's voting to snowball them compared with just a fifth (23%) of couples aged 45 and over. Escaping a family cold front this festive season are grandparents, receiving just one percent of the vote.

Some celebrities have the ice factor rather than the X-Factor, with one in five (18%) and over one in 10 (12%) of Brits voting to snowball Simon Cowell and Cheryl Fernandez Versini this year. The nation has given them the cold shoulder because nearly half of us (47%) believe they are arrogant and a third (33%) claim they are attention seekers. In comparison, the Strictly Come Dancing celebrities are hot stepping their way into the nation's hearts and out of the cold with Tess Daly receiving just two percent.

To help melt the nation's hearts this festive season, PizzaExpress is Snow Ball Dough Balls are BACK.  Sprinkled with cinnamon and icing sugar and served with a vanilla cream dip, they are available at PizzaExpress restaurants until 5 January.
