There’s a real buzz in the air at Taylor Wimpey’s Somerdale development in Keynsham, near Bristol, where discerning house-hunters are joining the sales rush to snap up their ideal home!

This exciting new collection of three, four and five-bedroom houses on the site of the former Cadbury factory at Somerdale has seen 26 plots sold since its launch.

With demand for these fabulous designs showing no sign of slowing and the first new residents moving into their new homes in November, anyone hoping to find their perfect property here is advised to act now, or risk missing out!

Charlie Joseph, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “We’ve been inundated with interest in the new homes at Somerdale ever since their launch, with savvy buyers lining up to secure their favourite plot in this fantastic location.

“I would urge anyone hoping to join the new residents here to get their skates on, or they could find their dream home has been snapped up by someone else!”

There’s still a great selection of houses available to reserve at Somerdale, with prices starting from just £280,000 for three-bedroom designs and from £420,000 for four-bedroom properties.

The four-bedroom ‘Sentinel’, for example, priced from just £420,000, features a fabulous kitchen/dining room and a spacious lounge, both opening through French doors to the private rear garden, plus a utility room and a guest cloakroom off the entrance hallway.

Upstairs, the landing leads to an en-suite master bedroom, three further bedrooms and a main bathroom, while outside the property benefits from a garage and driveway parking for two cars.

To make moving even easier and more affordable, Taylor Wimpey offers a range of helpful homebuyer incentives for purchasers, including Help to Buy and Part Exchange.

Residents at Somerdale will be able to enjoy a new range of community facilities as part of the development proposals, with the iconic Fry Club being rebuilt to include new changing rooms, five flexible function rooms, a large sports bar with a skittle alley and a multi-activity room for community groups.

A new FA-standard floodlit football pitch is one of 13 full-size pitches being provided at the development, along with two junior football pitches, four cricket pitches and a nine-hole golf course, while the existing bowling green and tennis courts are being retained.

A local centre is also included in the masterplan for the site, including retail units, a medical centre, a riverside cafe and a care home, as well as a new 210-place primary school and nursery.

A riverside walk will be created with a cycle/pedestrian bridge over the River Avon, while substantial areas of public open space, including a wetland area for wildlife, are to be established. Some existing factory buildings will be used to create 120,000 sq ft of employment space.

Commuters will appreciate that Keynsham has its own railway station just a short stroll from the new development for direct services to Bristol, Southampton and London Waterloo, while Bristol city centre lies only six miles from home. The development is also well located for access to the A4, the M32 and the M4.

The development is located off Somerdale Road, Keynsham, BS31 2AU, and appointments are available daily from 11am to 5.30pm (Mondays 1pm to 5.30pm).
