Lions, chickens and rock bands: All rescued by Volvo Action Service Volvo Action Service (VAS) provides a Pan-European breakdown service for Volvo truck, bus and coach operators around the clock. In recent years, VAS has rescued trucks carrying everything from poultry to a trailer transporting lions and several trucks hauling equipment for rock bands on tour.

The work of VAS involves 4,500 Volvo Technicians and 1,500 Volvo Dealerpoints across Europe. One hundred and forty co-ordinators, provide a round the clock service in seventeen languages.

VAS is an integral part of Genuine Volvo Service and customers can give their feedback on how their breakdown was handled via a dedicated phone line.

To help publicise the work of VAS, Region Supervisor Jeanette Moore is to give a presentation on the latest developments in how breakdowns are handled at the Tow Show in Telford on Friday 27th June.

Jeanette, who is based at the VAS Headquarters for the UK and Ireland region in Rugby, will be presenting to the audience of Recovery Vehicle Operators on the subject of Incident Case Management.

If you want to know more about the Top Ten causes of breakdowns and how those lions fared, Jeanette will be presenting in the Conference Centre at the Tow Show at around 12 noon.
