Another Volvo for Waste Management Ltd

Their latest order placed last week an FM-400, which will be ready for delivery later this year, will bring the total tally of Volvo trucks to five, out of a total fleet of nine.
Established in 2002, the waste collection and recycling company purchased their first Volvo FM in September 2007. As Company Director, Rick Weir says, “The company had seen considerable growth over a relatively short period of time, so we wanted to mark the occasion with a brand that reflected not only our professional service, quality and success but also our ethos with regards to the environment.”
He added that, “After careful consideration, the Volvo brand met all criteria and was selected.”
Since then, the company haven’t looked back, moving from strength to strength, acquiring a number of nationwide contacts and in the process making plans to increase their fleet even further with more Volvo vehicles.
“Volvo have provided us with quality products and a professional service, in the form of Thomas Hardie,” added Rick, “In fact, over the next few years, we can certainly foresee a future running an all-Volvo Fleet.”
Waste Managements’ new 8x4 Euro 4 Volvo FM is specified with a Day cab in ‘Fleet’ trim, plated for 32 GCW and fitted with a Boughton Hooklift.
The purchasing decision for yet another Volvo was made just one week after the company took delivery of a FH-480, 6x2 tractor unit with ‘Globetrotter’ cab in ‘Prestige’ trim and plated for 44 tonnes.
Along with the rest of the recycling specialist’s Volvo fleet, the vehicle on order will be serviced and maintained at Thomas Hardie Commercials, Trafford Park, where they were purchased from Area Sales Manager, David Irving.
All Waste Managements vehicles can be seen predominantly throughout the Northwest as they serve commercial and public sector buildings with their environmental services.
