Murphy Commercials joins Volvo Truck and Bus Dealer Network

Murphy Commercials, of Cloughaun, Claregalway, Co. Galway, Ireland, have been appointed to the Volvo Truck and Bus Dealer Network and will provide the full range of Volvo parts, service and repairs from their ten-bay facility on the N17.

The appointment came into force on the 4th of March and the Dealership is now open from 9am until 6pm (closed 1 -2pm) Monday to Friday and from 9am to 1pm on Saturdays.

Founded by Des and Deirdre Murphy in 1988, the company has hitherto worked in close partnership with Irish Commercials at Naas to provide general maintenance and repair service. ”We’re looking forward to working more closely with Volvo,” says Des. “We already have a very good relationship and they have been a great help in getting properly integrated into the Dealer Network. These are exciting times for us!”

The Dealership location on the N17 – the main Galway to Tuam road – around 1.5 kms towards Corandulla, puts it within easy reach of drivers heading to and from Mayo and Sligo. It is also easily accessible from the Dublin road without the need to pass through the city itself. As well as a dedicated bus and coach bay the full suite of maintenance, parts and repair services is available: major components, brake testing, speed limiter and tacho work and laser alignment.

As of April, the Dealership will be licensed for type approval; a shuttle driver and courtesy car are also available.
