Motorpoint, the UK’s largest car supermarket, is using the latest technology in the automotive retail sector, and will now part-exchange cars over the telephone or on the Internet. Using the Motorpoint ‘ClearPrice’ calculator, Motorpoint is able to instantly value cars and commercial vehicles combining live and accurate data from numerous sources including HPI, DVLA, CAP, the SMMT, and Glass’s to give the customer the best price. All that is required for the valuation is the registration number and current mileage of the vehicle which is being traded.

The Motorpoint website is the most visited in the UK in the automotive retail sector, and the car supermarket receives numerous orders every day online and by telephone. With the ‘ClearPrice’ system, this will now enable customers to budget more accurately. This will allow customers to have a greater choice from the largest range of vehicles available, which are listed online with the latest specification and live photographs.

Commenting on the introduction of the system, Gary Warren, Managing Director of Motorpoint explains: “It makes sense for customers looking to save time and money to use the Internet or the telephone to track down the hottest deals on new cars. Customers trust the Motorpoint brand to deliver this.”
