Almost £3 million will be invested in the local community as part of Redrow’s plans for new homes in Evesham.

The award-winning housebuilder has planning approval to build 70 homes on land close to Aldington Lodge on Offenham Road

The first homes at the development, known as Maple Gardens, are due to be released for sale in June.

Redrow has committed to investing in the local area, pledging almost £3 million in community contributions including support for schools and sports facilities.

The new homes also guarantee a jobs boost. The Home Builders Federation says the scale of employment supported by house building is equivalent to 4.3 direct, indirect and induced jobs for each property built.

Pauline Turnbull, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands), said: “Evesham buyers will be familiar with our Heritage Collection homes as we’ve had sell-out success at Laburnum Gardens, which is less than two miles from our new site. Prospective purchasers have shown a keen interest in Maple Gardens and in response to demand we’ll soon be releasing the first properties for sale ‘off-plan’, with a fully furnished show home due to open in a couple of months’ time.”

Maple Gardens will offer 42 homes for private sale with a choice of two, three, four and five-bedroom designs available.

Externally they will look very traditional, taking inspiration from the architecture of the Arts & Crafts era; while inside they will be bright and modern with a high specification as standard.

Redrow will invest more than £2.5 million in the construction of 28 reduced cost homes to meet local housing needs, ranging from one-bedroom properties to four-bedroom homes.

The company will also pay £194,000 towards sports facilities in the area and will contribute to enhancing the local environment, including the provision and improvement of open space, payments towards transport infrastructure and cycle links amongst others.

“At Redrow we are committed to building communities and that means investing heavily in the area, not just for Redrow home buyers but for the whole neighbourhood,” Pauline added.

Homes at Maple Gardens will enjoy a leafy setting as the development is bounded by large trees and hedgerows, with mature trees within the site also being retained.

The first homes will soon be available to buy ‘off plan’ and prospective purchasers can register their interest via the website redrow.co.uk/developments/maple-gardens.
