A new online savings account from building society the West Brom offers both a competitive rate of interest and unrestricted access to funds.

WeBSave Bonus Saver pays 1.30% gross p.a./ AER variable, which includes an unconditional bonus of 0.30% up to 30 September 2017.

Opened and operated via the internet, the product is for opening balances of £1,000 and over. Customers have unlimited access to their savings without notice or charge and new investments can be made at any time up to a maximum of £250,000 for single and joint accounts.

Interest is paid annually and can either be added to the account or paid away.

David Taylor, the West Brom’s head of products, said: “For people looking to manage their savings online, with easy access whenever they need it, our WeBSave Bonus Saver is well worth considering.

“The bonus gives a welcome boost at a time when savers are having to contend with an extended period of low interest rates, plus being able to manage the account via the web makes it flexible and convenient.”

The West Brom is a leading provider of savings, investments and mortgages. Based in West Bromwich in the West Midlands, the building society has 37 branches in addition to its internet and direct savings channels.
