Ford Transit plugs into MP3 craze

22nd September 2007 Print
Britain's best-selling van, the Ford Transit, is now being built with an 'aux-in' socket which allows drivers or passengers to plug their MP3 portable music devices such as iPods through the Ford audio unit.

The socket is positioned on the passenger side, under the upper dashboard lid. Recent research shows that the top three music choices for van drivers are pop (56 per cent); rock (15 per cent) and R&B (10 per cent).

With sales of new Transit surging in the UK, 60,000 new drivers are set for even greater driving enjoyment, according to Ford's latest sales predictions.
