Bedfordshire home-hunters are being advised not to miss out on the final properties remaining for sale at Taylor Wimpey’s Billington Grove development in Leighton Buzzard.

Quick-off-the-mark buyers can now choose from the last two plots at this fast-selling development:

The two-bedroom ‘Winchat’ apartment (plot 89), priced at £230,000
The four-bedroom ‘Oakham’ semi-detached house (plot 79), priced at £378,000.

Both properties are available with the Help to Buy initiative, which enables eligible first-time buyers and those with a property to sell to access a Government loan for 20% of their new home’s full price – so they only need a 75% loan-to-value mortgage and a deposit as low as 5%.

Gareth Jacob, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “Billington Grove has been an incredibly successful development, which is why we’re now down to the final two new homes on sale.

“Both properties offer exceptional value in this fantastic location, so we’re not expecting them to be available for long and I’d urge would-be buyers to come and find out more while they still can.”

The ‘Oakham’, for example, offers generous accommodation across three floors, with a contemporary kitchen/dining room opening through double doors to the private rear garden, and a handy guest cloakroom off the entrance hallway.

Upstairs, the first-floor landing leads to a spacious living room with a Juliet balcony overlooking the garden, plus a double bedroom and a family bathroom. Meanwhile, on the top floor, there’s an en-suite master bedroom – which boasts a Juliet balcony with views of the tree-lined open space opposite – along with two additional bedrooms. The property also benefits from an integral garage and driveway parking outside.

Alternatively, the ‘Winchat’ apartment features an open-plan kitchen/living/dining room with a Juliet balcony, plus an en-suite master bedroom, a further bedroom and a main bathroom off the internal entrance hallway, with allocated parking outside.

Help to Buy is available on new-build homes up to the value of £600,000 and there’s no salary cap for purchasers taking advantage of the scheme.

Billington Grove lies on the edge of the picturesque Bedfordshire countryside, yet just over a mile from Leighton Buzzard town centre with its wide variety of independent stores, boutiques, coffee shops, pubs, restaurants, bars, high street retailers and supermarkets.

The town also offers a selection of parent and toddler groups, nurseries and schools for children of all ages, while Billington Grove is also ideally placed for the region’s excellent transport links, with the A5 and M1 close by and regular rail services operating from Leighton Buzzard station to London Euston in 45 minutes, as well as to Milton Keynes, Northampton and Birmingham.

To stand a chance of securing one of the final new homes at Billington Grove, homebuyers can visit the Sales Centre at the nearby Roman Gate development, located at 35 Theedway, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, LU7 9RP, and open daily from 10am to 5pm (Mondays from midday to 5pm).
