New luxury family hotel, Hotel Amarin, opens its doors in Rovinj
A new luxury family hotel, complete with a mini adrenaline park, sports facilities and interactive walls, has opened its doors for a soft launch, in the coastal town of Rovinj on the northern coast of Croatia.
Located in the region of Istria, on a green peninsula just a few minutes’ drive from the centre of Rovinj, Hotel Amarin is a children’s paradise, with a number of exciting attractions to keep the kids entertained. The hotel features seven different swimming pools with a lazy river and waterfalls, games rooms for both small kids and teenagers, a mini adrenaline park – with trampolines, outdoor playgrounds and climbing facilities - a theatre hall and mini kid’s gym.
In addition, the hotel features a variety of sports facilities including two tennis court, a beach volleyball court, and a sailing and surfing school for all ages. The region of Istria has had a record-breaking tourist year this year, with recent statistics reporting 150,000 more overnight stays within the region than in the same period last year. Rovinj is one of the most visited destinations within the region, renowned for its gourmet food and fine wines, and has counted 2.1 million overnight stays in 2016 so far, which represents a 5% increase in overnight stays compared to the previous year. The centre of the town is edged with lively cafés and restaurants spreading out on to a charming harbour, with the lush surroundings of the Golden Cape Forest on the towns’ doorstep.

Rovinj can easily be reached from the UK, by flying to Trieste, Ljubljana, Zagreb or Rijeka, but the closest airport is Pula (served by Ryanair, EasyJet Thomson Airways and Norwegian Air), an easy half-hour transfer to Hotel Amarin.
