Recent research by Go Compare has shown that increasing numbers of over-thirties are leaving the capital each year. The longing for a larger home and a better quality of life is leading many people to the home counties, but discerning buyers are unwilling to sacrifice style in their search for more space.

Spitfire Bespoke Homes’ new Imperial Row development in Ascot, Berkshire, showcases the luxurious, London-style interiors that are in high demand in popular commuter towns.

Just a few minutes’ walk from Ascot High Street, Imperial Row comprises four individually-gated, magnificent detached residences. The elegant show home, St James, combines classic materials sourced from the finest specialists in Europe, and the expertise of award-winning interior designer Alexander James Interiors, for an effortlessly stylish finish.

Joanna Kennedy-Cooke from Alexander James Interiors comments: “We designed the St James show house to appeal to Londoners looking to move from the capital to a luxurious family home with extensive space and all of the style, quality and outstanding specification that one would expect in a London home.”

Richard Page, Sales & Marketing Director of Spitfire Bespoke Homes, adds: “We have been seeing a high level of interest from people looking to move out of London at many of our developments. Buyers are looking for more spacious homes in fantastic family-friendly locations, with outstanding interiors. Imperial Row is perfectly situated to make the most of the superior lifestyle on offer in Ascot, while St James’ sophisticated interior design will meet even the highest expectations.”

St James offers over 4,800 sq. ft. of impressive and elegantly appointed living accommodation set over three floors. The imposing entrance hall sets a dramatic tone, with a curved, polished limestone staircase leading up to the galleried landing and on to the second floor. A custom-designed, hand-blown glass chandelier adds wow factor, cascading the full three storeys of the central stairwell, suspended from the roof light.

The bespoke curved kitchen, created by Lida Cucina, incorporates a combination of contemporary hi-gloss and contrasting wood wall and floor cupboards, complemented by a recomposed Quartz worktop. The kitchen includes a full range of Miele appliances in a natural steel finish, including two electric fan assisted ovens, a steam oven, wine chiller, microwave, warming drawer and a zoned induction hob.

The formal dining room is an adult space for entertaining, with a stronger look including black upholstered dining chairs with ornamental detailing on the back of each, while stunning floral arrangements add tonal quality. The living room is formal but inviting, with a mix of textures including grey silk effect wallpaper and a vintage style mirrored coffee table.

Each bedroom has been given an individual style using a variety of finishes including lacquer, wood, antique mirror and upholstery, with subtle touches of masculine and feminine, as well as some elegant art deco lines, showing the space off to its best advantage. A neutral velvet-look carpet is used throughout the upstairs, enhancing the overall sumptuous feeling of the property.

Located in a peaceful tree-lined lane just off the London Road, Imperial Row is within easy walking distance of Ascot’s main high street with its mix of shops, cafes and restaurants. Surrounded by leafy parkland and rolling countryside, Ascot is popular with commuters. The station is less than a mile from from the homes, while for international travel, Heathrow airport is only 11 miles away by road.

Imperial Row is ideal for families, with excellent local education options including Papplewick School, The Marist Preparatory and Senior School, St George’s, St Mary’s School, Heathfield School, Lambrook and Charters School. Eton College is also only nine miles away.

Kensington at Imperial Row is on the market for £2,850,000. For further information, visit struttandparker.com or savills.com.
