Visitors to Bellway’s Scholars Park development in Redcar can now get an even better insight into the living standards available when they view Bellway’s two brand new show homes. Both detached homes offer four bedroom accommodation and are ideal for family living.

Sales Manager, Dee Colonia, said: “Design wise, the homes follow a more contemporary theme which suits more modern living patterns, the elevations provide more glazing giving the homes a very airy and spacious appeal allowing more natural light to flood the living spaces. Internally, the homes have been designed to create the maximum amount of useable room with the interior layouts featuring open plan living spaces to suit a 21st century life style.”

The Laurel offers 1,079 sq ft of living space, the kitchen is complemented with a built-in stainless steel oven, hob and extractor. The layout also includes space for a dishwasher, fridge freezer and washing machine. French doors in the dining area open on to the rear garden.

The living room is located towards the front of the property and features a bay window overlooking the turfed garden. An under stairs cupboard and a cloakroom complete this level.

On the first floor, bedroom 1 benefits from an en suite with shower enclosure, while the remaining three bedrooms share the family bathroom.

The Rowan show home provides 1,228 sq ft of living space. The open plan kitchen, dining area and family area is a feature of the home and is complemented with a built-in stainless steel fan oven, gas hob and extractor. The layout also includes space for a dishwasher, fridge freezer and washing machine. French doors in the dining area open on to the rear garden.

The dual-aspect living room extends the length of the house and also features French doors into the garden.

Residents will find a number of well-regarded schools in the local area, including Coatham CE Primary School and Newcomen Primary School for younger children and Sacred Heart Secondary Catholic Voluntary Academy for older pupils. Redcar and Cleveland College offers a range of apprenticeships and higher education courses.

Just a mile from Redcar beach and around 20 miles from the Cleveland Hills, Scholar’s Park is an ideal location for experiencing the best of countryside and coast. The Esplanade that runs alongside the beach, features a boating lake, cafés, amusement arcades and the Redcar Beacon – an 80ft high building that provides panoramic views over the seafront.

Locally, a farmers market takes place twice monthly in nearby Saltburn-by-the-Sea, while Guisborough, around seven miles away, hosts a twice weekly market.

The attractive resort of Saltburn, six miles away, is home to the oldest water balanced cliff lift in Britain, a miniature railway within its Valley Gardens and a Victorian pleasure pier. Inland, Guisborough, lies at the edge of the North York Moors National Park, which covers 554 square miles and provides opportunities for outdoor activities such as walking, cycling and horse riding.

Nearby sporting venues include Redcar Racecourse, Cleveland Golf Club and Redcar Cricket Club. Tennis courts can be found at Locke Park, opposite the development, which also features a children’s play area, boating lake and flower gardens
