Gumballers to get a clean getaway with Meguiar’s

This year’s Gumball 3000 will see 120 supercars cover 3,000 miles in just seven days and Meguiar’s, the world’s leading manufacturer of car care products, will be on-hand, as the official car care supplier to the Gumball 3000 2007, to ensure each and every vehicle looks at its best throughout the journey.

A squad of Meguiar’s detailing teams will attend the official registration at the Sofitel St James London hotel in Trafalgar Square (Saturday 28 April) and will work on each of the 120 supercars prior to them lining up on the starting grid, on London’s Pall Mall (Sunday 29 April), ensuring each competitor is ready for a clean getaway. Meguiar’s products will also be available to the thousands of petrolheads, enthusiasts and autograph hunters gathered around the paddock and starting areas from the Meguiar’s stand.

As the official car care supplier, Meguiar’s will also have dedicated detailing teams present at the key checkpoints of Istanbul, Athens and Amsterdam to maintain the look and finish of each vehicle.

“3,000 miles would take its toll on any vehicle”, explains Steve King, Managing Director, Meguiar’s UK. “When you consider that distance is going to be covered in just eight days, in supercars that normally spend their lives pampered and polished in a garage, the Meguiar’s detailing teams will be working tirelessly to ensure each vehicle looks as perfect when it leaves Pall Mall, as when it has covered the full distance.”
