Citroen Relay - now with upgraded Trafficmaster Smartnav

Citroen’s new Relay panel van range set the pace in the UK van market at its launch late last year when it became the first to be fitted with satellite navigation and stolen vehicle tracking as standard. Now, this Trafficmaster Smartnav system has been upgraded with many new features.

All 2007 Trafficmaster Smartnav equipped Relay panel vans are now fitted with a removable Touchscreen, with a new screen colour scheme that is the same colour as the vehicle dash lighting. Among the many other improvements offered by the introduction of the new Touchscreen are: quick postcode entry, a ‘favourite’ address functionality that saves up to 20 preset destinations – twice as many as the previous model - and previous destination recall of the last five destinations, so that drivers can download routes without delay.

The upgraded Trafficmaster Smartnav includes visual congestion charge zone warning, subscription status, instant mute, passenger post code entry on the move and GPS speed in mph or kph, while the removable Touchscreen allows the driver to unplug the screen for added security.

With other van manufacturers charging anything up to £2,000 for satellite navigation systems, the system uniquely fitted as standard to Relay vans not only helps to increase the first hand value of the vehicle, but also plays a key role in strengthening residual values. It is also estimated that the Trafficmaster Smartnav system will help businesses to save up to £2,000 per vehicle/per year by reducing mileage, cutting fuel consumption and improving response and delivery times as well as enhancing driver and vehicle safety.

The Trafficmaster Smartnav system fitted to all Relay vans includes a unique fleet package specifically developed for Citroen commercial vehicles. This comprises a free three year subscription to the navigation service; a free three year subscription to the UK’s leading GPS stolen vehicle tracking service – Trackstar - to protect the vehicle from theft; three month’s free use of Trafficmaster’s live traffic data to help calculate routes around delays and one month’s free use of SafeSpeed, a speed camera alert.
