Another seal of approval for Citroen’s Ready to Run programme

Citroen’s award-winning Ready to Run programme has another seal of approval for 2008. After winning the What Van? One-Stop Shop conversion programme award 2007, Citroen’s Ready to Run programme is now the first ready-bodied vehicle scheme in which all the converters are working to meet the new Society of Motor Manufacturers & Traders’ (SMMT) Body-builder Best Practice recommendations.

The SMMT’s Body-builder Best Practice recommendations have been introduced to help encourage better body-building standards in the industry and to promote those converters whose practices meet the standards laid out by the SMMT. This programme provides customers with greater quality assurance and recognises responsible body-builders for their best practice initiatives.

Scott Michael, Citroen’s commercial vehicle sales manager, explains, “Citroen fully supports the SMMT’s work in encouraging greater body-builder and converter standards. The converters involved in the Citroen Ready to Run programme are already recognised throughout the industry as leading specialists in their respective sectors. Now, we are delighted that these experienced companies have signed up to comply with SMMT Body-builder Best Practice recommendations. It is also a further indication of our commitment to requiring constant improvement with our Ready to Run providers.”
