TRACKER, the Stolen Vehicle Recovery (SVR) system operator, has been shortlisted alongside computer software giant Microsoft and telecommunications specialists Motorola for an international accolade.

TRACKER Response, which enables fleet operators to track their vehicles, via the internet, from anywhere in the world, has been singled out from scores of entries for the finals of the Telematics Awards Best Aftermarket Device category.

The ground-breaking product, which also allows users to set a series of personal alerts including a speed notification warning which warns when a speed set by the customer has been surpassed, has been named as a potential category winner by the awards organisers.

Parita Patel, Marketing Manager for TRACKER UK, said: “TRACKER Response is a formidable system. The ground-breaking VHF and GPS technology we’ve developed has taken our SVR services to a whole new level. Being shortlisted for the Telematics Awards Best Aftermarket Device is an accolade in itself, especially when you consider the caliber of the competition.”

Telematics Awards category winners will be announced during the seventh annual Telematics Conference and Exhibition in Detroit, USA, between May 22-23.
