Citroen launches expanded Ready to Run 2009 programme

Citroen Supertrucks Relay glass carrying van Citroen’s Ready to Run special vehicle programme has been improved and expanded for 2009. There are now over 80 specially converted Citroen light commercial vehicles in the 2009 Ready to Run programme, which includes Nemo, Berlingo First, new Berlingo, Dispatch and Relay models.

Robert Handyside, Citroen’s commercial vehicle operations manager, comments, “Citroen’s Ready to Run programme has always provided the widest range of high-quality conversions. With the launch of the 2009 programme, we have moved Ready to Run even further ahead of the competition with significant product upgrades and additional, unique new conversions.”

New for 2009 are Somers chiller conversions for the Nemo, International Van of the Year 2009, new Berlingo chiller and freezer conversions as well as chiller and freezer box-bodies on Relay chassis cabs. In addition, there are now new Berlingo Supertrucks glass carrying conversions. Also, the Ready to Run 2009programme includes new Nemo, Berlingo First and new Berlingo dual fuel (petrol/LPG) conversions. And, for the first time in the UK, Citroen’s Ready to Run programme includes Somers temperature-controlled conversions of NME dual-fuel vans.

Ready to Run Relay minibuses
Advanced Vehicle Builders offers a range of 12, 15 and 17 seat Relay minibuses which have bonded flush-fit direct glazing. Priced from just £15,795 + VAT + delivery, the Ready to Run Relay range also includes wheelchair accessible minibuses.

All Ready to Run Relay minibuses offer high standards of safety. Thus, they all have M1 tested seats, seat belts, mountings and underframe structure. Advanced Vehicle Builders makes full use of the Relay’s wide-body design to provide high standards of passenger accessibility. A further refinement of the Ready to Run Relay minibuses is the slide and release three-seat rear bench. This enables operators to adjust passenger and luggage capacity to suit individual requirements and makes the Relay Ready to Run minibus an even more attractive proposition. This slide and release rear seat feature is standard on all 12, 15 and 17 seat Ready to Run minibuses.

Ready to Run Relay Luton Van
Buckstone Motor Bodies offers exceptionally well engineered, but lightweight Luton van bodywork. The Ready to Run Relay Luton van range is based on Relay 35 L3 long wheelbase and L4 extra long wheelbase chassis cabs to provide interior load volumes of up to 20cu.m and load deck lengths of up to 4.0m.

All Ready to Run Relay Luton vans are constructed from anodised aluminium body sections with very high quality 11mm GRP panelling. They also have reverse parking sensors with audible/visual warning, full height tie rails, high-quality, lightweight, colour impregnated rear shutter and a full-width under-run bumper/rear step. Dependent on model, Ready to Run Relay Luton vans offer payload capability of up to 1,180kg and are priced from just £15,395 + VAT + delivery.

Ready to Run Relay dropside
The Ready to Run Relay dropside conversion uses the Ingimex Thor body. As standard, this body has a ladder frame front bulkhead with galvanised wire mesh cab protection, easy action heavy-duty aluminium dropsides with recessed fasteners and a non-slip phenol resin bonded one-piece ply floor with retractable load tie-down points.

Priced from only £12,265 + VAT + delivery, the new Relay dropside range offers payloads of up to 1,500kg dependent on model.

Ready to Run Relay car transporter
Ready to Run is the only ready-bodied specialist vehicle programme to include car transporter vehicles. The all-alloy body provides the dual benefit of easy loading and low transit height together with up to 1,600kg payload capacity, the highest available in class.

The rear deck length of the Ready to Run Relay car transporter is suitable for many sizes of passenger car and many light commercial vehicles. Priced from £17,365 + VAT + delivery, the Ready to Run Relay car transporter is supplied complete with light alloy load ramps and can be specified with a number of options.

New and expanded Ready to Run temperature controlled panel van range
Citroen’s Ready to Run 2009 programme now includes Nemo, Berlingo First, new Berlingo, Dispatch and Relay temperature-controlled panel van conversions. In addition, Somers Refrigeration has included chiller and freezer box van bodies for the Relay chassis cab as part of the expanded Ready to Run programme.

Built to internationally recognised ATP standards, Somers Refrigeration has further improved its Ready to Run temperature controlled product with even more efficient door and door seal designs. The Ready to Run 2009 temperature controlled range is available from £9,895 + VAT + delivery.

New and expanded Ready to Run glass carrying van range
The Ready to Run Supertrucks glass carrier line-up has now been expanded to include the new Berlingo which joins the range alongside existing Berlingo First, Dispatch and Relay glass carrying conversions. Ready to Run glass carrying panel vans are priced from an extremely competitive £8,465 + VAT + delivery. As standard, the Ready to Run glass carrying conversion includes an anodised aluminium roof rack, a side carrying rack complete with fascia and two fixed internal racks, all complete with securing poles. Unique features of this range include inclinometer, reflective safety markers, a pole rest and full test certification to show maximum safe working load.

Ready to Run Relay tipper
The Ready to Run Relay tipper is built by Tipmaster, the UK’s largest supplier of 3.5 tonne gvw tipper packages. Priced from just £13,695 + VAT + delivery, this exceptionally well-priced package has the highest payload of any Tipmaster 3.5 tonne gvw tipper conversion.

Ready to Run tail lift
The Citroen Ready to Run programme includes a tail lift for panel vans. Suitable for new Dispatch and Relay panel vans, Tipmaster offers a 300kg capacity tail lift for safer, faster and more efficient loading. The Tipmaster tail lift is a compact fold-away design, with a low weight of just 145kg and is competitively priced at just £1,995 + VAT (this price includes fitting).

All Citroen Ready to Run bodies and conversions are covered by two-year unlimited mileage/three year 100,000 mile warranties, to match the cover provided with the standard Citroen vehicle.

New and expanded Ready to Run dual fuel van range
The newly expanded Ready to Run range of Nicholson McLaren Engineering (NME) dual fuel vans now includes petrol/LPG conversions for Nemo, Berlingo First and new Berlingo models. All meet Powershift Band 4 standards and are London Congestion Charge exempt. In addition, all dual fuel conversions, which are priced from just £7,995 + VAT + delivery, also provide significant fuel cost savings.

Ready to Run dual fuel vans are also available with Somers temperature-controlled chiller and freezer conversions to suit the needs of operators delivering perishable products within congestion charge zones.
