Schools will benefit from more than £3 million worth of investment as a result of new Redrow homes coming soon in Banbury.

Redrow has secured reserved matters planning approval for 321 homes on Bloxham Road.

The new development will be known as Bloxham Vale and work is underway with the first homes due to be released for sale next month (March).

Redrow’s scheme will bring considerable investment in the area, helping to ensure that the growth of the neighbourhood is sustainable.

Tonia Tyler, sales director for Redrow Homes (South Midlands), said: “Being part of a community is an important factor when choosing where to live. By investing in the neighbourhoods where we build we help to ensure that those areas continue to thrive for the benefit of existing and new residents.

“At Bloxham Vale we’re predominantly building family homes and, recognising that schools play a pivotal role in the community, we’re making significant investment in education. We’ve allocated £1.8 million for primary education and £1.5 million for secondary education.

“We’ll also be creating lots of open space, including play areas and allotments, plus making provision for highways improvements to Bloxham Road. It’s all part of helping people discover a better way to live.”

Oxfordshire is set to be a major area for growth for Redrow over the next few months. The award-wining housebuilder recently announced plans to build circa 200 homes as part of the flagship Barton Park scheme in Oxford. It also has a development coming soon at Milton Heights, near Didcot, plus plans for new communities in, Bicester, Sutton Courtenay and Kennington.

Bloxham Vale will offer 224 homes for private sale. It will also include 97 affordable homes designed to help local people continue to live and work in the area.

The design of the properties is inspired by Redrow’s Heritage Collection of traditional looking homes, with some small changes to meet the local vernacular.

Prices will be announced when the homes are released for sale.

Located in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside, to the south of the thriving market town of Banbury, Bloxham Vale is perfectly placed to enable residents to enjoy the best of both worlds. Plus, with direct trains from Banbury station whisking passengers to London Marylebone in under an hour, it’s a great commuter base option.
