Britain’s best and worst car dealers named
The people’s verdict is in – Britain’s car owners have given their verdict on who has the best and worst UK car dealers.And taking the service bay champagne are Japanese car makers – while the Brits, French and Germans are left holding the greasy spanners!
With a great tradition of strong customer service, Japanese manufacturers have topped the chart in the new Auto Express Best Dealers survey, with Lexus taking the No.1 spot
Nearly 30,000 drivers took part in the survey by Britain’s biggest weekly motoring magazine – and they placed Japanese dealers in four of the top five places.
European car makers occupied the bottom six positions in the table, which ranked dealers on a range of key areas including quality of service, technical knowledge, customer care and cost.
Auto Express reveals that no other network of franchised car dealers can match the standard set by Lexus. The company’s sales and service centres were praised for their cleanliness and the helpfulness of staff. Czech car firm Skoda’s dealers also put in a strong performance coming third overall.
At the bottom of the chart Alfa Romeo and Fiat dealers struggled to keep up with the competition.
