Local housebuilder Barratt Homes has officially launched its latest award-winning development in Aldershot, Hampshire. Bruneval Gardens, located along Pennefather’s Road, is offering homebuyers a stylish range of new homes, including three- and four-bedroom family homes, as well as one- and two-bedroom apartments.

Demonstrating a demand for new homes locally, over 100 potential homebuyers attended the recent launch weekend, looking to find out more about buying one of the contemporary properties. Prospective buyers were able to view plans for the developments, explore pricing and learn more about the availability of schemes such as Help to Buy and Part-Exchange.

The first phase of homes launched at Bruneval Gardens comprises of three- and four-bedroom houses, with several properties even reserved at the launch. Each contemporary home is designed to suit the needs of a modern buyer and is equipped with the latest energy efficiency techniques. With the first homes due to be completed in Spring, the first residents at the development are expected to move in soon after.

Lynnette St-Quintin, Sales and Marketing Director for Barratt Southern Counties, comments: “We are delighted to launch Bruneval Gardens, which will bring much needed new housing to the market here in Aldershot. The turnout at the launch weekend demonstrates that there is a big appetite locally for quality new homes. We expect the new homes here to continue to be very popular with buyers looking for a quality home in a sought after area with great transport links. Also with the availability of Help to Buy, we expect the homes here to be very popular with first time buyers looking for a bigger first step onto the housing ladder.”

Help to Buy, the Government’s popular equity loan scheme, helps both first time buyers and house movers purchase a brand new home with lower upfront costs. The helpful scheme means that buyers only need to raise a five per cent deposit, while the Government steps in with an interest-free (for the first five years) loan of a further 20% of the property value. In this way, buyers are able to access more affordable 75% loan-to-value mortgages. The scheme is available with new homes worth up to the value of £600,000, meaning that many of the properties at Bruneval Gardens will qualify.

Lynnette adds: “Help to Buy is a fantastic scheme to help buyers move into a brand new home for less upfront cost. It has been very popular at many of our developments throughout Hampshire, especially with young families looking for more space.”

Bruneval Gardens has been commended the ‘Built for Life’ industry award. This quality mark is recognition for well-designed new homes, neighbourhoods and communities, and checks design elements including access to local facilities, parking, landscaping and traffic management.

The development is conveniently located just outside of the town centre and is nearby to supermarkets including Tesco and Lidl, a Cineworld cinema, and the Wellington Centre which offers over fifty retailers.

Aldershot Railway Station is just one mile from Bruneval Gardens and offers a journey time to London Waterloo in 46 minutes, while Guildford can be reached in 17 minutes. For travel by road, the M3 can easily be reached via the A331, connecting residents to the south coast and the M25.

Currently available at Bruneval Gardens is a collection of three- and four-bedroom houses. Prices start from £425,000 for a three-bedroom semi-detached house. With Help to Buy, this can be secured with a five per cent deposit from £21,250.
