Brundle goes walkabout at GPlive

During his walkabout, Martin is looking forward to meeting his many fans and signing autographs. In addition he will host a lively Q&A session in the GPlive “Heroes Hall” in the Donington Park paddock, giving fans the chance to ask questions of one of Formula One’s top pundits.
Martin will additionally drive the 1983 Tyrrell-Ford, now owned by Nick Mason, which was one of the last cars to be powered by the Ford Cosworth DFV engine. He’ll complete a line up of 40 DFV-powered cars to create a stunning “wall of sound” to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the engine’s debut victory.
Brundle made his Formula One driving debut with the Tyrrell team in 1984, the year after going head-to-head with Ayrton Senna in the British Formula Three Championship. Brundle raced for Ken Tyrrell until 1986, then raced for teams including Zakspeed, Williams, Brabham, Benetton where he was team-mate to Michael Schumacher, Ligier McLaren. His final F1 racing season was 1996, with the Jordan team.
Martin remains one of Britain’s most successful sports car racers, winning the Le Mans 24 hours in 1990 with the Jaguar team. Martin also made history by finishing 1st and 2nd in the same race at Monza in 1991, driving both the team’s Jaguar XJR 14 racers at different stages in the endurance event
In 1997 Martin moved alongside the legendary Murray Walker in the F1 ITV commentary booth and more recently with co-commentator James Allen, their commentary is beamed worldwide to tens of millions of viewers. Martin’s own series of ‘Great Escapes’ programmes was an instant hit too, with 9 million viewers on ITV.
Martin has since 1998, managed the career of Formula One driver, David Coulthard and with his former team mate and close friend, Mark Blundell, has formed a driver management company 2MB Sports Management to develop new British talent. One such rising star will be featured in a special photo-shoot with Martin and the Tyrrell racer at GPlive – his son Alex Brundle, currently racing in the Formula Palmer Audi series.
