Avis on track with Silverstone partnership

Avis Rent A Car has been appointed Official Car Rental Partner to Silverstone for the second year running. In line with its environmental commitment, Avis, the world’s first CarbonNeutral car rental organisation, will be offsetting the 3,000 miles covered by its Heliport Shuttle fleet of 60 Renault Grand Scenics at this year’s Formula One Santander British Grand Prix .

Avis has been CarbonNeutral for the last nine years and, in co-operation with The CarbonNeutral Company, has offset 76,500 tonnes of CO2 through a combination of forestry and climate-friendly projects. Avis also encourages customers to take up the CO2 offset option when booking car rental on its website avis.co.uk – one simple click allows the customer to carbon neutralise their rental for just £1.
