Renault Maxity carries weight at ASC Metals Lincoln Multi-metal stockholder, ASC Metals Lincoln Ltd., has taken delivery of a new Renault Maxity 130.35 with 6-speed gearbox, through Renault Trucks Distributor, Thompson Commercials. It is the first Renault to join the company’s fleet and replaces its Nissan Cabstar. The Renault Maxity has an aluminium alloy drop-sided body, manufactured by McComb Coachworks in Lincoln.

Richard Hoole, Managing Director, ASC Metals, cited the good payload of the Renault Maxity as a key purchase decision: “The un-laden weight of the Maxity, including the body and sheet is only 2,020kgs, which gives an impressive payload of 1,480kgs.” He says. “It is a lovely small, compact truck, competitively priced and the feedback from our drivers is extremely positive. We would definitely consider running more in the future.”

The Renault Maxity will be used to distribute aluminium, stainless steel and other metals to the engineering, manufacturing, construction, fabrication, shop-fitting and sign making industries. It will undertake deliveries in Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire.

Based in Hykeham, Lincoln, ASC Metals was established 25 years ago and employs 22 people. It boasts a 21,000 sq. ft. warehouse and has an annual turnover of approx. £7.5million.
