Autoquake ramps up operations
Autoquake, UK direct to consumer remarketing company, has today announced an increase in its operations to expand premises and boost staff levels across the business, as the company continues in its growth trajectory.New Leeds Site
Following six-months at its drop off centre in Leeds, Autoquake has taken on a new, larger site in the City to answer increased customer demand. Opening on 1 June, the new site will increase facilities to aid the rapid re-marketing of quality ex-fleet models, including:
A secure compound with the capacity for hundreds of vehicles
An indoor vehicle centre, providing a full range of preparation and valet services
The facility for a purpose built vehicle photo studio to be introduced later in the year
The centre, in the outskirts of Leeds, provides sellers with a full de-fleet solution and allows for the further expansion of Autoquake’s offering including direct de-fleet, vehicle damage estimation and a smart repair facility. Autoquake is also planning further expansion across the UK, beginning with a West Midlands base.
New Hires
As operations continue to grow across the UK, Autoquake has increased staff levels with a solid base of automotive and e-commerce experts, to boost the headcount across all departments.
Andy Norman - Prior to joining Autoquake as Sales Director, Norman worked at Motability Finance Limited as National Field Team Manager followed by a number of years at Masterlease where he was responsible for a portfolio of national key accounts.
Andrew Hooper - Hooper joins as Operations Director following his position within the Technical Services division at Walon UK where he held Account Management & Business Development responsibilities.
Norman and Hooper, who bring with them in excess of 50 years in the automotive industry, are joined by new Software Development Director, Jagjivan Ram, who brings a wealth of experience across a number of online and automotive companies, including positions held at Lastminute.com / Holiday Autos and Toyota GB.
Jeanette Moskovits, CEO, Autoquake said: “We’ve seen phenomenal success across the business over the last six months, with a continued rise in sales as consumer online spend shows no sign of stopping. To meet the high demand from private buyers on quality ex-fleet cars we’ve had to move our operations in Leeds and are on the lookout for further handover centres across the UK.”
“Our relationships with some of the UK’s major leasing companies have proved a big success but with increasing demand from customers we’re looking to set up more partnerships, growing our national operations and continuing to deliver the best online experience possible for fleet owners and private car buyers.”
FN50 Leasing Companies
One of the key factors behind Autoquake’s growth is its agreements with leasing companies. Autoquake’s current work with Zenith saw the leasing firm awarded the accolade for most innovative disposal of used vehicles and they continue to see 5% higher prices through using Autoquake’s fully managed service compared to traditional disposal routes.
Autoquake is currently in talks with a number of other FN50 companies who are set to sign deals for its services in the coming months.
