BCA expands French Network: BCA Bordeaux-Bassens opens

Over 350 buyers attended the opening sale, which featured an entry of 210 vehicles. A total of 150 vehicles were sold for a 71% conversion and a turnover exceeding 1 million euros – a record sum for a physical auction staged by BCA France.
BCA has invested over 500,000 euros in developing the specialist remarketing centre at Bassens , which is based on the 20-hectare logistic facility owned by STVA Group. The partnership between the 2 companies allows BCA to benefit from flexible and substantial storage and marshalling for up to 8,500 vehicles. BCA will initially stage two sales a month in Bordeaux.
Jean-Roch Piat – recently-appointed Managing-Director, BCA France - commented “We are introducing a new low-cost business model for the French auction business, based on volume sellers and used vehicle buyers.”
BCA in France also utilises highly developed electronic remarketing channels, and was the first country in the BCA network to adopt the new pan-European e-commerce platform, which is branded as RVO-Direct.
Paul Bradbury, BCA’s European Managing Director added “We are engaging in an active period of expansion in France, creating a network that serves the large dealership population. With the combination of our remarketing centres and an ever-expanding portfolio of online and remote selling platforms we are bringing the best of both worlds to the French vehicle remarketing industry.”
