‘Sting’ changes hands
Locks4Vans Ltd, is now the UK’s largest independent supplementary lock provider for vans and other commercial vehicles, since adding ‘sting’ to its products by acquiring the mechanical locking division of Scorpion Automotive Ltd.Appreciating the need to continually develop product and introduce technical advances for increasingly complex new vehicles, Scorpion Automotive Ltd sees Locks4Vans Ltd as being best placed to undertake that task for mechanical locking. This move allows Scorpion to devote resources to its core business areas.
Locks4Vans Ltd Managing Director, Chris Batterbee MIMI is no stranger to the Scorpion lock range as he set up their Lock Division and developed the products in the mid-to-late 1990s. He welcomes the addition of Scorpion to the Locks4Vans offering as a major benefit to the trade now that product and service for the two highest quality ranges of after-fit locks are available from a single dedicated source.
Locks4Vans designs, manufactures and distributes supplementary locking systems to the trade only. An ISO 9001-2 registered Company, Locks4Vans Ltd is a Corporate Sponsor of the Mobile Electronic and Security Federation, a member of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders and an affiliate of the Master Locksmiths Association.
Based in Gravesend Kent, Locks4Vans has an internal staff of eight plus two external sales managers (North & South).
