06 plates on sale for Christmas

With around one in five DVLA Personalised Registrations customers now buying personal plates as gifts, the government agency is to release its 06 series for sale on 1 December, in time for Christmas.

The new 06 range, which is available to view on dvlaregistrations.co.uk from November, will comprise more than 6 million potential registration combinations.

"Last year we saw a rise in sales on the run up to Christmas and our customer research has since confirmed a big increase in the number of people buying personalised registrations as gifts. The 06 series will add to the already comprehensive range of marks people can choose from and they are all very easy to find on our new website," said Louise Pierpoint, marketing and publicity manager for DVLA Personalised Registrations.

The 06 series, which can be used on vehicles first registered after February next year, will be priced from £499 including the assignment fee and VAT.

In total DVLA Personalised Registrations has more than 22 million possible registrations at prices starting from a fully inclusive £250.
