MOMO maestro makes it three Clio Cup wins out of three Steffan Hodgetts showed no signs of race rust following a month-long break in Clio Cup action, dazzling the crowds at Croft to deliver a third race victory in a row, a result which leaves him top of the championship standings.

Having set the benchmark in pre-qualifying, Hodgetts went on to comfortably secure pole position, before also setting the fastest lap of the race at the Yorkshire circuit, to cap the Reddtich driver’s most dominant display to date.

The 24 year-old underlined his ambition, commenting after the race “I signed up to win races and three out of three is a great start. The car is working fantastically well and the challenge now is to continue this run at the next round at Oulton Park”.

With confidence understandably high in the MOMO UK camp, Hodgett’s team-mate, 18-year old Robert Brown, son of MOMO team owner, Sean Brown - himself a former saloon car racing champion - continued his resurgence following a tough introduction to Clio Cup racing, backing up his encouraging form in round three at Thruxton, with a 16th place finish at Croft.

Hodgetts, Brown and the MOMO team now have a three-week break before heading to Oulton Park, for the next Championship round on 23/24 June.
