Tracker wins international award

Tracker’s stolen vehicle recovery (SVR) system, which enables users to keep track of their vehicle, via the internet, from anywhere in the world, beat competition from computer software giant Microsoft and telecommunications specialists Motorola to take the top accolade.
The technology is best known for enabling the police to pin-point a stolen vehicle, however it can also be used to notify the owner if the car is moving without the engine on. In addition, if other drivers have access to the vehicle, alerts can be set by the owner including a speed notification warning which immediately informs them when a speed they’ve set has been surpassed.
Parita Patel, Marketing Manager for TRACKER, said: “Winning the International Telematic Awards Best Aftermarket Device award is a terrific honour.
“The very high frequency (VHF) and global positioning satellite technology we’ve developed means TRACKER is by far the leader in its field, and clearly this has been recognised by authorities at the highest level.”
The International Telematics Awards are organised by industry trade publication, Telematics Update. All entries were judged by a selection of independent consultants and industry experts.
