Tracker ensures intrepid trio won’t be putting a foot wrong!
An intrepid trio won’t be cutting a single corner during a 24 hour 54-mile sponsored hike! For Marc Pascall, Matt Hinnigan and Jas Gill will carry TRACKER devices to prove to doubting friends, families and colleagues they complete every inch of an arduous two-day trek in aid of charity.
After picking up the corporate gauntlet appealing for participants for this year’s Royal Bank of Scotland Caledonian Challenge 2007 walk which encompasses the West Highland Way, the three became the butt of jokes from their nearest and dearest.
However, as they’ll be flying the flag for Uxbridge-based TRACKER, the UK’s leading Stolen Vehicle Recovery system operator, equipping themselves with their own tracking devices seemed the obvious way to prove to their doubters they’ll manage the miles, all 54 of them which they have to walk in less than 24 hours.
Spokesman Marc Pascall said: “It’s fair to say there are many family and friends who doubt our ability to do this walk. With a little help from our own TRACKER device we intend to wipe the smirks from their faces.”
The RBS Caledonian Challenge 2007 commences on June 16 th and will involve more than 1,500 trekkers walking the 54 miles, non stop, along the West Highland Way in Scotland. Every walker has to raise £500 sponsorship, with all proceeds going to the Scottish Community Foundation, a unique charity supporting various charities and community groups.
