New on line technical forum for Thatcham subscribers

20th June 2007 Print
Thatcham will join the many companies unveiling new products at this year’s Triple Focus event (20th-21st June), by launching their own brand new customer offering – an On Line Technical Forum for escribe subscribers.

This Technical Forum, which is available to customers via Thatcham’s website, provides an on line tool for exchange of ideas, advice, knowledge and solutions, and provides subscribers with even more value for money.

Users can start their own new ‘thread’ or join existing discussions with real time posts and a facility for uploading images. The new forum is organised into four main topic areas

- Method & Technical Data
- Equipment
- Skills & Training
- Parts & Materials

and is fully searchable by keyword, topic, vehicle manufacturer and model.

Thatcham’s Chief Operating Officer, Jason Moseley, has been the driving force behind this project, and explained the rationale for the new forum “This is another Thatcham initiative aimed at increasing and improving the provision of information to repairers. We have listened to our repairer stakeholders who wanted a platform to share repair information and best practice. At Thatcham we are already re-organising internally to streamline our own processes in terms of dissemination of information, but we also recognise the role that the repair community themselves can play in sharing their own knowledge and experiences. This new forum provides the ideal platform for repairers to help themselves.”
