Hulme’s F1 World Championship limited edition print
Denny Hulme’s historic F1 Drivers’ Championship victory 40 years ago is commemorated in a limited edition print, released for sale at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.Destined to become a collectors’ item, the Hulme F1 Anniversary print stands as a tribute to the enduring memory and respect for the New Zealander, known with affection amongst his peers as ‘The Bear’ . The signatures of 28 Formula One drivers - including 8 World Champions - are reproduced on the print, together with their portraits.
The print is published by Hulme Supercars, creator of the Hulme F1. Currently in development in New Zealand, the car is the brainchild of fellow Kiwi, Jock Freemantle.
Jock acknowledges the input by so many of Denny Hulme’s fellow F1 drivers:
‘The print is a respectful tribute to a great driver and a wonderful man, who is held in great affection and high esteem by his fellow competitors. I thank all his contemporaries who so willingly showed their respect for Denny’, Freemantle commented.
Each of the 1,050 limited edition litho prints is numbered and personally signed by Denny Hulme’s widow, Greeta, and includes a certificate of authenticity.
A total of 350 of the prints are available for purchase at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from the motoring and motorsport specialist booksellers, Chater’s, priced at £200.
