Which?: Ofgem energy report

In reaction to the announcement from Ofgem that more than five million people switched energy supplier in 2007, Siobhan Parker from Switch with Which? says: “There can be significant price differences between energy tariffs and suppliers, so we advise consumers to shop around for the best deal. The fact that 5 million people switched last year shows that consumers are using their buying power and taking their business elsewhere if they’re not on the best tariff.

“There are still savings to be made though - about 50 per cent of UK households have never switched provider, and even those who have already switched may find that new tariffs could offer further savings.
