Mondial invests in GPS location software

Mondial UK announces the introduction of Vari-location, its state-of-the-art GPS location software. Designed to enhance Mondial’s market leading roadside assistance services, Vari-location allows staff to find a customer by tracking the location of their mobile phone. Mondial continues to bring its clients added value, helping them offer their customers peace of mind out on the road.

“Vari-location means Mondial staff can quickly and easily locate a caller, even when they’re unsure where they are,” explains Simon Cook, automotive director for Mondial UK. “This is another feature enhancement to our product portfolio, providing our clients with the ultimate roadside assistance solution. Vari-location means Mondial’s roadside technicians reach motorists faster than ever, when they need us most.”

Customers are asked for authorisation prior to Vari-location being used, as part of their roadside assistance package. The search results are received as a fully navigable map displaying a red circle, indicating the location of the mobile and the customer. The location data is presented as near live, including coordinates, as well as date and time. This product launch is part of Mondial’s ongoing commitment to further developing and strengthening the range of services it provides, meeting the demands of the ever-changing marketplace.
