Greater clarity from Clarion audio Clarion’s new DXZ578RUSB CD/MP3/WMA receiver caters for the consumer often forgotten in the clamour for either affordability or high-end specification, providing an impressive spec at a price that highlights the variety of Clarion’s electric new line-up.

Following on from the range leading DXZ778RUSB head unit, The DXZ578RUSB is a CD/MP3/WMA receiver as standard, but will also clone with any memory stick or portable USB player via a front facing USB port, reading WMA and MP3 audio files as well as AAC files used by programmes such as iTunes. Furthermore, Clarion’s clever CeNet connectivity system allows for the optional add-on of a TV tuner, 6-disc CD changer and control of Apple’s iconic iPod (via EA1276 lead).

With functionality high on Clarion’s design agenda for the new range, the latest HMI (Human Machine Interface) has lead to the introduction of Slidetrak X-Function operation & Slide volume control for a more precise control of key features. By removing the need for multiple buttons on the facia, the Slidetrak system maximises the available space on the head unit to include a large 2-line, easy-to-read display, allowing you to keep your eyes on the road while operating the source unit.

A 24-bit D/A Converter is the focus of the newcomer’s faithful sound reproduction, together with Digital Z-Enhancer sound customisation and Sound Restorer technology to enrich the playback of all types of music files that have undergone compression - recreating lost frequencies up to 20kHz – whilst 4-channel x 53 watts of MOS-FET amplification helps generate a more dynamic, well-balanced sound reproduction.

With a typical selling price of just £169.00 via its appointed dealers across the UK, Clarion is offering the entertainment savvy a wider choice of in-car audio solutions and better quality sound reproduction at a previously unavailable price.
