Brown proves he’s the king of the castle MOMO UK’s Daniel Brown (16, from Billericay) drove majestically at Castle Combe on Sunday, claiming pole position for both the days’ races, before adding a fastest lap on route to victory in both rounds of the ultra-competitive proving ground for 14-17 year olds, extending his lead in the T-Car championship in the process.

Such was Dan’s dominance over the weekend, that his qualifying time for race one was actually quicker than the lap record held since 2002 by Tom Onslow Cole - now driving in BTCC - whilst race race one saw Brown lead from lights to flag, whilst reclaiming the lead he lost off the startline in race two, to come home unchallenged for his fifth win of the season.

With fastest lap times in seven out of the nine races so far helping him to five wins, Daniel’s consistency has seen him open up a 28 point lead over his nearest challengers with seven rounds to go.

Commenting on another successful weekends work, Dan remarked; “this was the first time I’ve ever raced at Castle Combe so obviously I’m delighted to come away with two race wins and a fastest lap from the weekend.”

The series takes an extended break now before resuming at Donington Park on 2nd Septemeber, but for more information on the T-Car series in the meantime, go to tcars.net.
