Simplifying engine oil choice

8th August 2007 Print
Selecting the right top-up engine oil can be a source of some confusion for many motorists. The increasing choice of lubricants for modern petrol and diesel engines has compounded the situation in recent years.

Last year, Chevron introduced a simple and efficient way for motorists to select the right engine oil – the Havoline Oil Selector Guide, and the company has updated the selector wheel which is now available for use at most service stations and garages throughout the UK selling Havoline engine oils.

To arrive at the right oil for a car is simple. All the motorist has to do is dial in the make and model of their car and select petrol or diesel. The correct Havoline lubricant is then displayed by means of a red dot alongside an illustration of the product recommended.

The Havoline lubricants range incorporates specific grades of oil for petrol and diesel engines together with the latest synthetic and low sap lubricants which offer improved fuel consumption and reduced emissions.
